Annique Salad Recipe: Nature’s Broom

An excellent salad to stimulate peristaltic movement helping with cleansing the colon. Eat it with or after dinner

 Ingredients

 Fresh lemon juice

Olive oil

1 tbl spoon on honey

Wine vinegar (dark/light)

Salt and Pepper

Basil/ coriander/parsley (optional)

½ cup fine ground nuts (pecan/almonds/cashews)

Fresh spinach leaves

Fresh cucumber

½ an Onion – chopped

Fresh lettuce

Celery; green asparagus; raw green beans

(cut into bite sized pieces)

Method

1.  Mix together and shake well before use:

 olive oil – lemon juice – honey – vinegar – salt and pepper – herbs (if used)

2.  Cut into fine strips and mix in a bowl:

Cucumber – spinach – lettuce

 3. Add:

Onion – celery – asparagus – beans

 4. Sprinkle with the salad dressing and nuts

 Tuck in!

Iced Rooibos Tea

Healthy option: Iced Rooibos Tea

2 cups cold Rooibos tea

1 cup cold Pineapple juice

1 cup cold Tropical fruit juice mix containing passion fruit if you can find it

1 cup cold Soda water

1 cup cold Ginger ale

Mix Rooibos tea and fruit juices

Add ginger ale and soda water just before serving

 Enjoy!
